In 1987 I was proud
about getting my FAA sailplane pilot's license.
Sailplane pilots typically wear tennis hats, as I am in the photo, or
baseball hats. The little button on top of the hat is usually cut
off. That's so that if your head smacks into the canopy during
heavy turbulence, you won't crack the canopy. ( What happens to your
head is your problem.)
The
real work for the photo was done in a kiosk at a local amusement park.
They'll put your
face on the cover of a magazine for ten dollars.
